We started Intake because we were tired of watching athletes fall short of their potential. We didn’t believe in plateaus, and yet we saw even the most committed hit a wall in their training. So, we picked up where the athletic industry left off-with breathing. We took our inspiration from the Olympic athletes of the 1990s, and the hardcore athletes of today, who wore adhesive nasal strips to help boost their aerobic capacity. 

From there, we made something that was durable and versatile enough to withstand any sport or activity, and that opened the wearer’s airways enough to make a measurable impact. We launched Intake Breathing on Kickstarter in June 2019. With the help of nearly 3,000 backers, some talented friends and family, and a handful of investor capital, we launched Intake Breathing in January 2020. 

We’re small, we’re scrappy, and we’re progress-obsessed. And, now that we’re here, we’re more committed to your progress than ever. After all, we made Intake to help you go faster, fight harder, and push through—no matter how wide the plateau you may be up against.
